Size: 1-gallon

The Sugarberry is a hardy, drought-tolerant tree native to the southern United States, known for its adaptability and attractive form. Typically growing 50-70 feet tall, this deciduous tree features smooth, gray bark with characteristic warty ridges, and its small, greenish flowers in spring give way to sweet, orange-red berries that attract birds and wildlife. With its broad, rounded canopy, the Sugarberry provides excellent shade, thriving in full sun and a wide range of soil types, including wet, dry, and even alkaline soils. It's a low-maintenance tree, perfect for parks, streetscapes, or natural areas.

  • Purchased trees can be picked up at the Sand Hill Nursery on Tuesdays between 10 a.m. and noon or at the pickup dates and times noted in your confirmation email.

  • Size = size of the pot they are currently in. The actual height of trees varies from 1' to 6'.
