Silky Dogwood

Sale Price: $0.00 Original Price: $0.00
54 available

(Cornus amomum)

Silky Dogwood (Cornus amomum) is a fast-growing native shrub valued for its vibrant year-round visual appeal and wildlife benefits. Growing 6 to 10 feet tall and wide with a dense, spreading habit, it performs best in full sun to partial shade and thrives in consistently moist, poorly drained, or boggy soils, though it can adapt to average garden soils (USDA Zones 4–8). In late spring, flat-topped clusters of creamy white flowers bloom, followed by porcelain-blue berries in late summer that attract songbirds, and rich reddish-purple fall foliage. Excellent for stream bank stabilization, rain gardens, naturalized screening, and wetland restoration.

  • Reserved trees can be picked up at the Sand Hill Nursery on Tuesday between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. or Wednesday between 4 - 7 p.m. More details will be provided in the order confirmation email.

  • The actual height of trees varies from 1' to 6'.

  • Link to more information about tree species.

  • Click here for how to plant your tree once you have it.

  • Click here for the tree wizard to help select a tree for your space.
