Asheville GreenWorks Tree Shop › Pawpaw

Pawpaw

$50.00
55 available

Asimina triloba

The pawpaw tree is a unique, cold-hardy fruit tree known for its tropical-flavored fruit, often described as a blend of banana, mango, and melon. Ideal for backyard orchards, this low-maintenance tree grows well in a variety of soils and produces large, greenish-yellow fruits with soft, creamy flesh. It is perfect for adding a rare and delicious fruit to your garden. Typically reaching heights of 15-25 feet, the pawpaw tree thrives in partial to full sun and requires two different genetic strains for cross-pollination and fruit production, so planting more than one is recommended.

Size: 3-gallon

  • Use code PAWPAW25 to save 25% when you spend $100!

  • Purchased trees can be picked up at The Hop (640 Merrimon Ave Location) on Friday October 3 between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.

  • If you are unable to make it, pick up will also be available at Sand Hill Nursery on Tuesdays between 10 a.m. and noon. Alternate pickup dates can be arranged if needed.

  • Please note that availability and price may vary throughout the sale due to the available size and stock quality. More tree species may be added as our nursery manager has deemed them ground-ready. Size = size of the pot they are currently in. The actual height of trees varies from 1' to 6'.
