The Bald Cypress is a stunning, long-lived tree that brings unique beauty and versatility to any landscape. Known for its striking, pyramidal shape, this deciduous conifer can grow 50-70 feet tall, making it ideal for adding vertical interest. Its soft, feathery, green needles turn a rich coppery-bronze in the fall before dropping, leaving behind an elegant silhouette in winter. Thriving in full sun and adapting well to both wet and dry soils, the Bald Cypress is perfect for areas near ponds, low-lying spots, or even drier landscapes. Its attractive, peeling bark and distinctive “knees” that rise from the ground in wetter areas make it a low-maintenance, hardy tree that’s sure to enhance any yard or garden with its year-round beauty and architectural form.
