Covid-19 hasn't stopped the GreenWorks community from making an impact on local rivers and communities throughout WNC — so we're adapting our 8th Annual Root Ball End of Season Party to celebrate our collective impact, quarantine-style! Instead of an in-person evening of dinner, dancing, plus our silent auction of uniquely Asheville items and a native plant + tree raffle, we’re making it all accessible online. We hope you'll join the fun!

A VIRTUAL DANCE PARTY
Join us on
Friday, October 16 from 7-9PM to dance with a live DJ spinning groove-worthy tunes for the whole family. Mark your calendars, gather your pod, and plan your technology** to cast the party to the big screen!
(**We're putting together a "cheat sheet" to help, but you can email us at [email protected] if you have specific questions as we get closer to the event.)

Festivities Include...
  • Reduce, reuse, repurpose, recycle... Show us how creative you can be with using the four R's for your party gear and backdrop! Dig out your old bridesmaid dresses, Halloween costumes, party decor, use recyclables or trash (aluminum foil disco ball, anyone?) Use the hashtag #RootBall2020 and tag us on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter.
  • A special dance party appearance by the Asheville Bag Monster. (What will he be up to? No good, we're sure!)
  • Raffle prizes! Every dance party ticket holder will be entered to win a host of awesome offerings coming directly from the multi-talented GreenWorks staff members. Purchase additional raffle tickets ($5 each) to increase your chance to win.

Show us your flair and help us celebrate a season of hard work to help keep our urban rivers and greenspaces clean, beautiful, and accessible for all to enjoy!

SILENT AUCTION & NATIVE PLANT SALE
From October 2-18, shop an incredible array of local items and experiences in outdoor recreation, arts + culture, food + beverages, and other offerings from the comfort of your own home! You can set proxy bids & be alerted if someone outbids you, so you can have the best chance to get the items you really want -- and you won't want to miss out on this year's collection. Plus, instead of our traditional plant/tree raffle, this year you can shop a wide selection of native trees and plants donated by local nurseries.
