School Composting Estes & Claxton Elementary

12/17/2012

Volunteers came out last week to build two composting systems.  One at Claxton Elementary off Merrimon Ave in Asheville.  The other at Estes Elementary school in Arden NC.  Thank you to the volunteers that came out from The New Classical Academy, The Young Professionals of Asheville, Nextstep Recovery, Americorp and the Estes PTO to build and install these new learning area's at these wonderful schools.  Both schools have a robust gardening program, adding in backyard composting only enhances the outdoor experience.

Special thanks to Miss Yetta Williams from Claxton Elementary and Miss Kimberly Lanzarotta from Estes Elementary for pulling these projects together.

Thanks to our Sponsors MMS Delivers and Greenman Brewery for donating materials used in these builds.
