The Blue Ridge Arborist Association is a budding group aimed at trimming trees so that they remain healthy, beautiful, and happy, rather than topping them. A topped tree can be even more dangerous, with unsteady shoots rising out of cut stumps, and are ugly to look at, but thanks to Blue Ridge Arborist Association, Asheville's cutting back and looking good. Remember, trees are important to urbanites and ruralists alike, providing shade in hot summers (This year was a doozy!) and a gorgeous color show when fall comes around each year.
If you want to help us keep Asheville clean, green, and a great place to live, come volunteer with Asheville Greenworks and see just how dirty you can get cleaning up the environment.
