Many thanks to all the volunteers who came out this past Saturday to help build an edible environment at Asheville Terrace Apartments! Blueberries, mulberries, and cherry trees were planted to provide a triple dose of berry goodness come next spring. Next Step Recovery for men and community voluteers, along with AGW staffers, dug holes, wrestled a few trees into the ground and planted some shrubs. Beautification is just part of the Asheville Greenworks message; the environment should be functional and beautiful. If you want to help Asheville GreenWorks acheive the dream of edible landscaping and a clean environment, come visit us at: www.AshevilleGreenWorks.org
The AGW fruit tree project has been made possible through the generosity of our community members and a mini-grant from Groupon Grassroots. If you are interested in participating in the project, please contact Rachel at 254-1776 or Rachel@ashevillegreenworks.org.
