Sustainers’ Campaign

A Tradition of Environmental Stewardship
Celebrating 35 years of serving Asheville and Buncombe County

Through its grassroots outreach programs, Asheville GreenWorks promotes litter reduction, waste reduction and recycling and the value of urban trees.  Many of the trees throughout Asheville and surrounding Buncombe County have been planted by our volunteers.  We have planted in downtown Asheville, public housing neighborhoods, and city and county parks.  Our volunteers also dedicate many hours to picking up litter along our streets, highways, and rivers.

For a clean and green future, Asheville GreenWorks works to create good stewards of the environment by educating school children and creating partnerships with neighborhoods and community groups.

Growing into the Future

Asheville GreenWorks attributes its success and longevity to several factors-dedicated staff, committed volunteers and the generosity of individuals, businesses and foundations concerned about keeping Asheville and Buncombe County Clean and Green.  To continue our successful efforts and expand programming, we need your support.   We depend largely upon community support and investment.  One of the ways you can participate in our efforts is by contributing to Asheville GreenWorks’ Annual Sustainers’ Campaign.

The Sustainers of Asheville GreenWorks

The key to strengthening Asheville GreenWorks is sustainable, unrestricted income.  This  will allow us to build our infrastructure and expand our programs to meet the explosive growth of our community.  Our goal is to secure $100,000 in sustainer gifts this year and to build this program over the next several years.  We invite you to join a very special group – The Sustainers of Asheville GreenWorks.
